We're proud to share our first media feature. Startmate sat down with our founder, Lisa Thomson, to talk about why Harmonie Health exists and how it is being built.
The piece traces Harmonie back to where it began, at home. With Lisa's dad in Perth and her brothers interstate, the family was coordinating his care with a colour-coded spreadsheet and a constant round of phone calls, the kind where someone always ends up asking whether anyone remembered to tell Dad about the appointment. Harmonie grew out of exactly that, a way for families and care teams to stay connected and organised without losing the human touch.
The conversation also covers a turning point during Startmate's Female Founder Bootcamp: finding the right words for the brand, less corporate and more like a real conversation. Once the message was clear, the proof came quickly, including signing up two new providers after a single coffee.
What stays with us most is what one beta user, living with Parkinson's, told Lisa after using Harmonie: "I feel like you've woken me up from my slumber." That is the whole reason we build.
